The first time you try to set up a budget there may have been a few things that you forgot to add to it. Many people overlook things like haircuts, personal toiletries, and clothing. You think about the big things like the house payment and electricity bill because they are a large part of what you pay each month. But when it comes time to pick out a new pair of shoes you may wonder where the money is supposed to come from.

It can be difficult to come up with a set amount to budget in each month for clothing. You don’t want to have to give up the LRG Clothes you absolutely love and you still want to save money. This is possible. Attempt to figure out what you’ve spent in the last year in this category. Once you see that number, think about whether or not it is something you can live with. It’s here that you decide your priorities and get down to the details of budgeting.

Keeping up with your clothing preferences means that you need to attempt to come up with a specific amount of money for each month (or for each year if you think you can keep track of it). If you are having a tough time coming up with the money you want to spend on clothes, either attempt to lessen that amount or come up with the money from other places. If you have an entertainment portion of your budget, look to cut here. You might be going to the movies less, but when you go, you will be looking great.
